Polls Rolls

ROLL OUT THE POLLS!

I thought I would be analyzing the candidates’ positions and statements on the issues of the day, but since both of them are pretty much obfuscating where they stand, and totally distorting where the other guy stands, I have found myself not able to distinguish truth from BS, and am relegated to discussing who is likely to win this thing in November.

More and more pollsters are reflecting a trend toward Obama, with today’s latest and bravest pollster projecting some States swinging over into the Obama camp, with Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Nevada, New Mexico and Virginia moving into the Blue column during the past week. This would add some 66 electoral votes to the previous Obama “projection” and gives him a 305 to 233 lead, at least in the view of one Election Projection Prognosticator. Doesn’t that have a great sound as it rolls off the tongue? You have to say it out loud, of course, “Election Projection Prognosticator.”

Ah yes, a pretty light-weight post today. It’s really too bad that elections have such serious consequences. It would be more fun to make light of the entire process. I remain in the “uncommitted” category of potential voters. I wish we had a viable multi-party system. I’ve discussed this in another blog, Boomer With a View - Reconstructing the Constitution, if you are interested.

palin_biden_debatesked.jpgLooking forward to the VP debate. Fireworks may be in the offering. Let’s hope so. Things have been pretty boring lately.
