Press Parsing Palin Positions

PRESS PARSING PALIN POSITIONS

Here I sit, finding myself writing yet another Post with a picture of Governor Sarah Palin.

Why?  Because her candidacy is the most interesting thing going on, that’s why.  We have been watching Barack Obama for the past TWO YEARS!

And, let’s face it, Senator Joe Biden isn’t all that interesting, whether chairing a committee or running for President–as he has twice in the past– or sitting on the bottom half of this year’s Democratic ticket.

Senator McCain is interesting right now only because he is on the campaign trail with Sarah Palin.  The media are all over them.  They are all over the media–television–talk shows–interviews–internet.  Must be the GOP Dreamteam come true.

sarah-palin-and-john-mccain-1.jpgHow long can this last?  That question is really one that the Democrats are asking right now.  The answer is probably something like “the rest of this campaign.”  And then, if elected, as Vice President, she will be in the news all over the world.  Quite a rising star it seems.

And part of this media attention…remember the media is infamously liberal…is closely watching her and waiting for her to make a major “gaffe.”  That is defined as (1) a foolish error, especially one made in public, or (2) a faux pas; a socially awkward or tactless act.

The media are all there with their cameras and microphones at the ready.

Wow.  That is a lot of pressure.  I don’t envy her one bit.

Good thing I still love alliteration.  What a boring Post this would be without “P’s”
