What Was He Thinking?

![]()
Or…WAS HE THINKING? Did he get this “input” from staff? Fire them all!
I PREDICT: Sarah Palin will withdraw her name from consideration. Doesn’t matter what reason she gives. The fact is, this was not a strong choice. It was a SILLY choice. John McCain’s decision-making process, or that of his campaign staff and political advisors, ought to be examined more closely. There is already so much SILLY talk going around the country–including at the RNC–about her family life, her choices, her background, her lack of experience, her beliefs, even her children’s beliefs. Give us a break. Can you imagine the next sixty days of this? The attention would be on the wrong person…the wrong issues. The Maverick Senator from Arizona needs to take charge.
I think there is already enough resistance to Gov. Palin’s VP candidacy that McCain will apologize to her and ask her to come up with a reason to withdraw her name. Coming up with a “personal” reason shouldn’t be too difficult. Candidates do it all the time.
It is really a shame. And a sham. This is not a candidate ready to play in the big time. Give her ten more years and she would be a formidable foe for anyone to take on…but today she is a vulnerable doe. I feel great sympathy for her predicament…and for John McCain. If they can withstand the heat and stay the course…but I DOUBT that they can…I would have more respect for them both.
I just don’t see this ticket winning in November.
